Bone Carving Workshop for Kids

Maha and his team return to Arataki Visitor Centre this summer.

Come and enjoy a day of fun and learning with established artist Maha Tomo (Ngai Tahu, Tainui, Ngati Kauwhata). Maha will share his knowledge and help you create your own tāonga.

Maha offers interactive Maori art workshops promoting wellness positive outcomes through creativity. Values such as tikanga (proccesses), whakawhanaungatanga (togetherness), manaakitanga (support) and mahi toi (working towards a finished art piece) are incorporated.

Suitable for people 12 years or older. Bring a plate for shared lunch.
