The first in a series of special Brown Bag Lunches to celebrate 150 years of Wellington’s Botanic Garden.
Bring your lunch and take a step back in time to learn how significant the area was as Pātaka kai for the ancestors of Te Ātiawa, Ngati Tama, Taranaki, and Ngati Ruanui tupuna.
Liz Mellish (MNZM), Te Ātiawa will join Wellington Botanic Garden historian Walter Cook to explain how important the area was for local Māori long before it became a garden.
