Please come along and hear Dr Jen Purdie talk about climate change - what is happening globally, in New Zealand, and in the Mackenzie Basin.

Dr Jen Purdie - Climate Scientist - BSc, PGDipSci, MSc, PhD

Jen is a climate scientist working most of her time at Meridian Energy, forecasting wind, water and snow melt on a range of time scales from 1 day to 30 years ahead. She also does computer modelling of climate change impacts on New Zealand and advises Meridian Energy on climate change impacts.

When not at Meridian she collaborates with other NZ scientists on both palaeoclimate and future climate science projects.
