About the speakers:
A leading New Zealand voice on wealth disparities, Max Rashbrooke is a journalist, author and academic based in Wellington. His books, including Wealth and New Zealand and Government for the Public Good, have helped transform our national understanding of income and wealth inequality.
Lisa Marriott is Professor of Taxation at Victoria University of Wellington and co-author of Sugar, Rum and Tobacco: Taxes and Public Health in New Zealand. Lisa's research interests include social justice and inequality, and the behavioural impacts of taxation.
Janine Hayward is Professor of Politics at the University of Otago. Her research and teaching focuses on various aspects of New Zealand politics, in addition to her comparative work on the constitutional politics of commonwealth nations.
