Cacao Ceremony facilitated by Lucy from Cacao Keeper.
Lucy draws together her experiences in Peru with plant medicine, ceremony, and sound to create a grounded and powerful space. Lucy has been sharing Cacao Ceremony for the past three years around NZ as a weekly practice, workshops, retreats, festivals and immersions.
Why Cacao Ceremony? Cacao has a long lineage of being used to accompany ceremony and as a tool to access spirit, ancestors, and remember the sacred.
Originating from Peru, cacao was picked up by the Mayan and Aztec as they journeyed over this land. Taking the medicine of Peru to Guatemala, Mexico and other Central American countries where there is still a close relationship to cacao to this day.
In today’s time, we are remembering the sacred and ceremonial aspect of cacao to enhance our ability to live in harmony with what is around and within us.
Sacred Drum Dance is a dance of awakening, guided by Rayna Love, a trained dance facilitator.
Exploring rhythm, breath and meditative aspects of freestyle dancing, aided and accompanied by hand drumming and rythmic world sounds and immersions into lush nature soundscapes created by 2RolledUp (DJ's Max and Uli from Argentina)
Connect more intimately with your own natural born sense of rhythm and movement and be guided on a journey deep within, expressing your inner dark and light through the grace of free flowing movement and dance.
2RolledUp are Max and Uli, two DJ/Music Producers traveling the world with their own inspired tracks and recordings using some sampled soundscape recordings from natural remote and beautiful locations in NZ, interwoven with selections from other producers and music colaborators from around the globe. Flames Of Plenty are the local Tauranga and Mount Maunganui Fire Dancing sensation, a visual freat of entertaining elegance with dramatic, daring, danger and dexterity.
