The Cancer Society's Living Well programme offers practical ways of living well through your cancer journey.
This free programme is available for anyone with any type and stage of cancer, as well as their whanau and carer.
The programme is run over two days and looks at understanding cancer, managing the side effects of cancer treatment and building self-confidence and self-help skills.
Participants of the programme often report feeling less anxious and better informed after attending. One of the most valuable things about the Living Well programme is the contact you have with the other people in the group who are going through similar experiences to yourself. A light lunch is also provided.
For more information or to register, email supportive care nurse Penny Parsons at pennyparsons@cancersociety.org.nz or call 027 684 0004.
