Christkindel - Christmas Market

The smell of cinnamon, mulled wine and bratwurst will fill Okato again this year.

Stony River and Ringcraft Moana Jewellers are inviting you to join their traditional European Christkindl Christmas Market in Okato.

Together with plenty of craft stalls they have created an authentic European Christmas market atmosphere for the whole family.

Let us all enjoy the cold season with a hot glass of mulled wine or children’s punch and wander through the lit-up market stalls and get inspired for Christmas.

Austrian chef Heimo Staudinger has prepared a smorgasbord of traditional European Christmas market foods for you to try. Warm up in our restaurant and Vienna café with our hearty buffet, cakes and coffee.

Parking is coordinated by the Lions club, Maori Wardens, Traffic management and thanks to our lovely neighbours Margaret and David Dravitski, we have a whole paddock set up for parking on Kaihihi road.
