It’s a Shore thing at the 2019 NZ International Comedy Festival.

Since 2012 the Comedy All Stars from the annual Fest have been bringing the laughs to the Bruce Mason Centre, initially as a one night show case, but then expanded to include the very popular pop-up BMC Comedy Club running across the 3 week festival. It’s an opportunity for a legion of comedy fans on the Shore to sample some world class comedy.

Sat 4 May at 8pm;
We kick off the 2019 season with the Comedy All Star Showcase on Sat May 4th, featuring 6 festival stars including the return of Canadian Scotsman, Phil Nichol, plus from England, Paul Sinha, a.k.a ‘The Sinnerman’ from TVNZ’s The Chase, the outspoken Alistair Barrie, Tom Houghton, a comedian who actually does live in The Tower of London , Live at the Apollo star, Brennan Reece and the return of a 2018 favourite, Ian Smith. And, to keep the English honest, we welcome Chris Henry, a Scottish Comedian of the Year nominee.

Thu - Sat from May 9th to the 25th
Following the Comedy All Star Showcase we will feature a fresh line-up each week of the festival at the pop BMC Comedy Club, fully seated, fully licensed ‘comedy club’ cabaret style.

The 2019 line-up is:
Thu 9 to Sat 11 May – MC Jimmy McGhie (Eng), Paul Sinha (Eng) and Alistair Barrie (Eng)
Thu 16 to Sat 18 May – MC Jarred Fell (NZL), Tom Houghton (Eng) and Chris Henry (Scot)
