Compost is nature's way of recycling. Made from waste garden material, compost is an essential ingredient for creating rich, friable soil and therefore healthy plants. Start composting and cut your food waste. In fact, 50 per cent of household rubbish is organic waste such as food scraps and garden waste, so composting is a great way to keep waste out of the landfill.
Come along to our fun, free composting & worm farming workshop presented by CBEC Ecosolutions. You will learn why, how and what to compost to help you reduce waste at home and create a nutrient-rich fertiliser for your garden.
This workshop is held at The ReMakery. The ReMakery is an upcycle store and community space run by local volunteers. It focuses on keeping goods out of landfill and upskilling the community to learn how to do this.
We work together with community groups and organisations to share knowledge, space, skills and equipment. Our aim is to create a hub for the community to learn about all things waste and work together to reduce our community footprint.
Profits made go directly to Habitat for Humanity’s Home Programmes in order to help build a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
