Creative Jazz Club: Mark Donlon Quintet (Wellington)

Pianist/composer Mark Donlon brings a crack quintet from Wellington to CJC.

Donlon moved to NZ in 2013 Head of Jazz of the New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University in Wellington. He has performed with Kenny Wheeler, Dave Liebman, Bob Minzer, Seamus Blake, Alex Sipiagin.

Louisa Williamson is currently making her presence strongly felt as one of New Zealand’s most outstanding new young jazz-saxophonists and is a really stunning performer.

They’re joined by Luca Sturney, Seth Boy, and Lance Philip, for a night of original music from Donlon’s albums, and new arrangements of favourite standards.
