Dancing Qigong

Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland. This course is held off-site at the Orakei Community Centre. Places are limited on this course so please register prior to attending.

New in 2019, this course starts on 18 October 2019, with nine classes on Friday mornings 11 AM - 12 PM. Final term class is 13 December.

Learn the Five Elements for Relaxation and other Qigong for joints and stress release. Qigong means "working with the Qi energy". Qi is our vital life force. When Qi circulates well in our bodies, it nourishes our body, internal organs, and promotes well-being. When Qi doesn't flow smoothly, dis-ease (which is a lack of ease) can manifest in our body and mind.

In this Dancing Qigong class, Aiko teaches the Five Elements for Relaxation (the Five Waves), which use gentle wave-like movements to get Qi flowing freely in our bodies. It takes some time and practise to learn to feel the moving energy and to cultivate the flow of energy. The benefits are worth it.

This course is held off-site at the Orakei Community Centre. Places in the classes are limited so please enrol early to secure your place.
