Rangitāne o Wairau will unveil a large sculpture depicting the prow of the waka of Maui Te Waka a Maui. Tōhunga Hemi Te Peeti, who designed and carved the waka, will be present as well as the waka hourua crew. Karakia will be followed by light refreshments.
