Devils at the Crossroads - Ohoka Show

The Historic Ohoka Hall will be transformed into a House of Blues on Saturday 27th July to set the scene for the return of Ma Bell's magnificent travelling Pop-up Cabaret Road Show. For this show Ma Bell has brought together a selection of top vintage Jazz Blues artists and teamed them up with some of Waimakariri's hottest young players currently making their mark on the national & International blues and country scene.

Devils at the Crossroads promises to deliver a sizzling hot night of acoustic Jazz, Blues, Burlesque and a whole lot more in a warm atmospheric speakeasy cabaret club environment echoing bygone eras. Ma Bell's guests include John Bevin on Piano, Danny Wilson Sax/Flute, Susan L Grant Slide/Finger-style guitar, Cameron Walsh & The South Street Blues Band and a host of surprise pop in guests including Folk Country legend Colin Stephen & local songwriter Tess. International award winning Burlesque Star Bonita Danger Doll makes a special appearance to add a little sparkle and spice to the mix.

Ma Bell will once again don the mantle of Madame Tragedie as mistress of ceremonies and will be performing songs from her latest album.
