An exhibition of art work with a Buddhist perspective opens on Wednesday 6th February at 4pm.
Dharma-Rama are 5 artists from the Wellington Buddhist Centre. This is their second exhibition together.
"We are a diverse group, using different art media and styles to unify a common commitment to spiritual practice."
In their Buddhist group, the development of spiritual friendship and art is an aid to spiritual growth and a higher states of awareness.
“Our Buddhist practice is reflected in our art. We're also interested in how our art collectively and individually may connect with others through that enquiry and practice."
The artists are: Kathleen Beeler, Amalaratna, David Litchfield, Anne Munz, and Achalamuni (Donald Woolford)
Photography - Kathleen Beeler is an award-winning cinematographer with 22 independent feature film credits. For 35 years she worked on motion picture special effects. She lived in California until moving to Wellington in 2007 to work for Weta.
