Djembe PlayShop - Content aside (as in what rhythms we'll be playing), the number one aim of this workshop will be to inspire everyone to love drumming more than ever.

Drumming is all about feeling really good & no matter what level you are at, you can & should be confident & satisfied with your ability to play. Playing remember, we are learning to play & to play more & better so the fun can keep on expanding.

My wish is to inspire more people to drum & to keep playing & refining their skills so that we can play together & enjoy this amazing musical tradition. To do this, I will share & practice with you the very foundations of rhythm & give everyone the tools to keep on practicing & improving because there is nothing like the feeling of knowing that you are improving & moving forward.

I will teach you how to have more fun playing alone & then how that fun multiplies once you meet with other drummers. Drumming is all about interaction & communication & it becomes really good when the understanding & rapport is flowing. Get your tones, slaps & basses ready. We’re going to have some serious fun!

Miro Klima has learnt from some of the best African masters alive today, both in Guinea (west Africa) and also in Europe and Australia where many of these teachers now live. He has been teaching and facilitating drumming workshops, weekly classes and team-building events for the past 10+ years in Europe and NZ.

Limited places for this workshop on so please email to pay & secure yours!
Want to attend Intermediates playshop 1-3:30pm as well? $45 for combined ticket.
