International award winning and best selling author and illustrator, Donovan Bixley will share his love of writing and illustrating at a free workshop for budding writers and artists aged 8 to 13.
In this interactive workshop Donovan will be getting to the heart of the matter with how he makes words and pictures work together. You will carry out some fun exercises to get you thinking about different ways to tell stories with pictures.
Donovan Bixley is an award-winning illustrator and book designer based in Taupo. Publishing over 100 books in 31 countries, translated into 18 languages and with 18 books in the New Zealand bestsellers list, Donovan knows what he’s talking about. He has won awards for his work as an illustrator, writer and designer and has won the Overall Children’s Choice, Best Illustration, and Best Junior Fiction awards at The New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults.
