Use acrylic paints and pencils to create drawings, paintings, landscapes, abstracts and more. Create paintings and drawings of objects, landscapes, abstracts and more in pencils and acrylics. You'll also get a basic introduction to illustration techniques for cards, books and other creative works.
Please bring A4 sketch pad, 2B and HB pencils, a rubber and a ruler to the first session. A list of other materials, acrylic paints and brushes (approx. cost $20) will be given on the first night. Bring along $5 (cash) to pay for watercolour paper and canvas boards.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
- Draw with pencil, charcoal and water-soluble pencils
- Mix colours
- Use both the glaze and impasto technique of painting with acrylics
- Demonstrate a knowledge of art composition and choice of subjects
- Apply techniques to your own artwork
