E Hina e! E Hine e! explores the contemporary relevance of the Akua/Atua, Hawaiian and Maaori female deities. Focusing on their relationships and told through contemporary and traditional taonga, treasures, history, oratory, and visual storytelling, this exhibition explores the female essence from an indigenous Maaori/Kanaka Ōiwi (Hawaiian) world view.

Developed by Dr Nālani Wilson-Hokowhitu (Kanako Māoli), Dr Aroha Yates-Smith (Te Arawa), and curator Poutiaki Whakataki Maree Mills (Ngaati Tuuwharetoa), this exhibition draws from their research and collective commitment to showcase these stories to future generations.

Education programmes are available for this exhibition.
