F.A.W.C! Taste Te Awanga

Fancy a taste of Te Awanga? We are talking about the good stuff – some of the best food and wine you’ll find in Hawke’s Bay, all in a gorgeous setting looking over the vines with views over Haumoana and the ocean north to Mahia and west to Ruapehu.

Wine and food dreams will be coming true at Millar Road when top winemakers and chefs team up to deliver a truly delicious event. Take a seat as Chef Ben Cruse (Little Black Bird) serves up his amazing cuisine throughout the afternoon, paired with some Decibel and Supernatural Wine Co. wines with a focus on fresh whites.

Winemaker, Daniel Brennan, will walk you through his first-time release of 'Testify' TeAwanga Chardonnay, a reserve, barrel fermented wine of alluring elegance.

Winemaker Hayden Penny will then take centre stage as he walks you through 2019 Spook Light Skin Fermented Pinot Gris …This will also begin the main section of the meal where Chef Ben Cruse will focus on pairing this toasty, voluptuous wine with some great Chardonnay and Pinot Gris morsels - think brioche, toasty, spring/summer fruits and savoury selections.

Daniel and Hayden will also be pouring some other select 'Decibel', 'Testify' and ‘Supernatural’ wines, perhaps even some of Daniel's 'Giunta' wines which include a Chenin Blanc. Who knows maybe some rosé may rear its head...?

Ticket price includes canapés, tastings of at least 6 wines followed by a hosted chef/wine-makers 3 course lunch matched to 3 glasses of wine.
