On May 15th we celebrate Family, Whanau, Aiga in Wynyard Quarter with the world on the International day of Families.

Inspired by Whanau, Aiga, Family, our “Family Tree Installation” will be planted on Te Wero Island on Wednesday 15th – 17th of May.

The Family Tree installation in collaboration with Panuku Development, Te Wero Island will transform into a place of honour, pride and respect for all generations, cultures and people and is a 3 Day symbolic placemaking activation that offers an opportunity for all to share their whakapapa, stories of their ancestors, roots, where they come from as well as reflect on what family means and looks like to them.

We invite all to join us to be a part of this activation or to watch it grow in celebration of family, tribe, ancestors, and cultural diversity in unity.

It's a free event, everyone is welcome.
