First Tuesday Concert - Asian Pictures/Eastern Beauty

First Tuesday at St Matthew’s on July 2nd welcome the Music Association of Auckland, an ethnic membership choir of Chinese from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan resident in Auckland. This big choir of 40+ members offers performance opportunities and friendship through music.

The choir, under the direction of Dr. Marie Lin, will perform music by Mozart (Ave Verum Corpus), Leonard Cohen (Hallelujah) and Caccini (Ave Maria) folk music of Chinese origin and standards with gloriously evocative titles like Under the Silvery Moonlight and Flower Dialogue.

Instrumental items for solo flute and violin with piano accompaniment will also be part of the programme.
