Flax Weaving Workshop

Learn to weave: A small 2-cornered basket, or kete, using traditional weaving techniques using a versatile basic technique which can be used for a number of different projects and/or a large container, or waikawa using a different weaving technique that uses the whole flax leaf.

This style has become popular as a shopping basket instead of using plastic bags. Also, weave a couple of flax flowers during the day. Experienced weavers may like to bring their own project if they'd like assistance with it.
