FRIDAY 6th SEPTEMBER 'ALL IS TRUE' (M) We are putting a FLICKS film night on with a writers theme on Friday the 6th September where we will be screening 'ALL IS TRUE' Kenneth Brannagh's film about that well known writer, William Shakespeare in his last year's of retirement. A star cast which includes Kenneth Brannagh as Shakespeare, Judi Dench and Ian McKellen. These guys know their Bard, and they've come up with a wonderful homage -- witty, atmospheric, at times heartbreaking -- to both the towering genius of myth and the oh-so-fallible man. Impressively cast and beautifully filmed, All Is True takes an elegiac look at Shakespeare's final days. The year is 1613, and Shakespeare is acknowledged as the greatest writer of the age. But disaster strikes when his renowned Globe Theatre burns to the ground. Devastated, Shakespeare returns to Stratford, where he must face a troubled past and a neglected family. Haunted by the death of his only son, Hamnet, he struggles to mend the broken relationship with his wife and daughters. In so doing, he is ruthlessly forced to examine his own failings as a husband and father.10-30am / 6pm / 8-15pm Tickets from and on door. Text bookings to 0210 222 5558
