This one-on-one walking tour activates your senses and encourages deep connections with the surrounding art and architecture.

As dancers guide you through the new Toi Art galleries, even the simple act of opening and closing your eyes becomes a revelation. Immediate, personal, physical – this immersive movement tour will transform the way you experience art.

Follow has been commissioned for Te Papa’s collection, as our first intangible dance acquisition. Developed and choreographed by Olive Bieringa of BodyCartography Project, and led by Kosta Bogoievski, Josie Archer, and Footnote dance company’s Anu Khapung, Georgia Beechey-Gradwell, Joshua Faletua, Tyler Carney, and Adam Naughton.

About BodyCartography Project:
Olive Bieringa (NZ) and Otto Ramstad (USA) collaborate as the BodyCartography Project. 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of BodyCartography Project, whose work began in public spaces across the Wellington waterfront and the San Francisco, Bay Area. They currently reside in Oslo, Norway.

They are deeply invested in the power of live performance to facilitate a re-enchantment of embodiment, relationship, and presence. They have created performances, installations, films, workshops, talks, festivals and curatorial projects around the world presented by institutions such as the Walker Art Center, Forecast Public Artworks, Public Art St Paul, Minnesota, Performance Space 122, NYC, Portland Institute of Contemporary Arts, Lyon Opera Ballet, Lyon amongst others.
