Trees That Count

The kitchen at Rātā in Queenstown will be cooking up a forest on 13 June - all part of raising money for a great environmental cause.

Well known restauranteurs, Fleur Caulton and Michelin-starred chef Josh Emett are hosting the four-course dinner with charity partner Trees That Count, raising funds to help native tree restoration in the Wakatipu Basin.

Tickets are $180, for a four-course dinner with paired wines. The dishes we’ll be serving have been inspired by nature, and the chefs have had fun coming up with a really unique, one-off menu.

We’re very grateful to Rātā for hosting the event at no cost, and to local supporters such as Canyon Brewery and Gibbston Valley Wines who have generously provided their products so funds raised through ticket sales can go directly into native trees.

Trees That Count is a programme of Project Crimson, a national conservation charity which Rātā has supported since 2012.

Trees That Count supports grass-roots conservation organisations, including the Wakatipu Reforestation Trust, and helps them to upscale their efforts by providing funding for native trees.

Get your friends together and buy tickets for this special, one-off event. We'll be in touch with you prior to the event to accommodate any seating preferences with other people you know have purchased tickets and to check on any dietary requirements.
