Raised in Auckland and trained in Wellington Frank Talbot has been twice named Woodwind Player of the Year, Frank has already gained a lot of useful musical experience having performed with the Rodger Fox Big Band, Royal Air Force Big Band, Mark Donlon's Quintet alongside Alex Sipiagin and with the New Zealand String Quartet and toured twice internationally with Luis Bonilla's JM Jazz World Orchestra
Inspired by the old masters, modern jazz and a wealth of other influences spanning Classical to Heavy Metal, Frank brings a mix of playfulness, energy and deeply personal music and will debut some new original music at this Wellington Jazz Cooperative gig.
