TWO crafty workshops that you can attend for free!
1) Sock Knitting for Beginner Sock Knitters
- learn how to cast on using circular needles
- learn the Magic Loop Method
- knit an actual mini sock so you can practice these techniques, and all the others that go along with sock knitting, like dividing for the heel, knitting the heel turn, gusset, toe shaping etc
-learn Kitchener Stitch for grafting seamlessly
Note: you must already know how to knit for this class.
Bring some scrap 4ply wool, 2.5/2.75mm circular needles if you have some, or buy some for $5 at the workshop. Scissors, darning needle.

2) Knit/Crochet a Sustainable Bag from Plastic Bags
- learn how to create plastic yarn out of old plastic bags
- basic knit/crochet stitches only are required, and we use big needles/hooks.
- You will get started on making a super cool bag out of recycled materials!
Bring 6/7mm needles or hooks, or buy at the workshop, hooks $5, needles $8
scissors, plastic bags (can be supermarket bags, shopping bags, food packaging)
