Canadian comedian Amy Cunningham tells something called The Boot Story. Because The Boot Story is a crowd pleaser - and crowds are better when they're pleased. A show about containers. And wrappers. And skin sacs. And borders. The parts that shape and define, and constrict and separate. Like a boot stuck to a foot. Or a gender stuck to a body.

Amy Cunningham is a Toronto-based, plant-based comedian, writer and storyteller who performs stand-up internationally. Her dark and deadpan comedy has been featured at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Oddblock Comedy Festival, SheDot Festival and others.

Her award-winning series, Off Kilter, was called "a refreshing surprise" by The New York Times, and is available to stream on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s digital platform. She writes satirical pieces for several national, Canadian comedy websites and was a 2017 winner of the Independent Production Fund’s web drama series grant.
