Gimblett Gravels Wine Tasting Night

It is here again at The Wine Cave, Auckland. We are inviting you to join us for a wine tasting and street food festival in-store at our premises. This tasting event night will lead you to experience the French concept of Terroir through New World modern thinking of wines.

11 of Gimblett Gravels' finest wineries are showcasing over 50 wines for an exclusive tasting, where you will have the opportunity to meet some of the most celebrated winemakers! Enjoy and taste the unique terroir of each vineyard site.

The wineries involved are Babich, Esk Valley, Mills Reef, Mission Estate, Pask, Squawking Magpie, Stonecroft, Unison, Vidal, Villa Maria, and William Murdoch.

No token system, one ticket you have the chance to taste all.

VIP tickets are available at $80.00 each which includes an exclusive masterclass as well as the general admission ticket for the day – there are very limited numbers of VIP tickets available, and they will sell fast.

The VIP masterclass will be hosted by two passionate wine experts - Hugh Crichton from Vidal and Nick Aleksich from Mills Reef. Hugh Crichton became the Vidal Estate winemaker in 2006, prior to joining Vidal Estate, Hugh had established a solid winemaking career both in New Zealand and overseas. Hugh’s passion for excellence has seen him and the Vidal Estate winemaking team achieve many great award successes in recent years. Nick is the general manager from Mills Reef which has established itself as one of New Zealand's premium wine brands with a particular reputation for outstanding Bordeaux varietal reds and Syrah from the Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay.
