Any exhibition opening at Auckland Art Gallery is preceded by a great deal of research. In preparation for "Louise Henderson: From Life", which opens on 2 November, 2018-19 Marylyn Mayo intern Victoria Munn was tasked with translating French letters from the Dame Louise Henderson Archive, now on long term loan at the E H McCormick Library.
In her talk, Victoria will shed a light on the letters and personal notes of Paris-born Henderson. She will share with you the artist’s voice, and the many witty remarks and observations made by the cubist artist, who immigrated to New Zealand as a young woman in 1925.
