A Ceilidh (pronounced 'kaylee') is an evening of dancing socialising and entertainment to traditional Scottish/Irish/Celtic acoustic music instruments. You can dance to called dances, or watch. Be entertained by inter dance items such as highland Dancers, stories, music items. You can even contribute an item in the traditional manner if you are so inclined.
Dance to bagpipes (GHB), also Highland Small-pipes, fiddle, whistle and bodhran and other accoustic instruments.
The venue is one of the districts rural halls from 1905 and has off road parking. It's 5 minutes East from Te Awamutu and 17 minutes SW from Cambridge. Rangiaowhia Road runs between Cambridge Road and Puahue Roads.
Admission is Adult $10 Child $5 (under 5yrs free)
The evening is in support of the local pipe bands in Waipa - Cambridge & DPB and Te Awamutu & DHPB.
