The 2019 Thames Heritage Festival has the theme of 'Transportation'. Horse-drawn, steam-drive, wind or pedal powered. Wellington artist Barry Thomas and son Max (fine arts graduate) take you through the process from crushing clay to creating individual artworks.

Classes of up to 20 children are welcome to attend five one day workshops from 9:30am to 2:30pm. For adults, there will be 2 evening workshops on Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 from 7pm to 9pm. Selected artwork completed at the workshops will be exhibited during the Thames Heritage Weekend 2019, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March, from 11am to 3pm. The art exhibition can be viewed by the public, with entry by koha. After the Thames Heritage Weekend, the art will be hosted at the Grahamstown Bar and Diner (GBD).
