Heroes and Icons - Rare & Fine Wine Live Auction

Our September auction features some absolute gems. Some of these in formats rarely seen.

We have many of the usual suspects from New Zealand with iconic brands like Te Mata, Stonyridge, Dry River, Providence, Antipodean, Martinborough Vineyards and Kumeu River. Wines and brands that have been part of the modern evolution of our industry. We also have some of the more recent wineries that have or are becoming part of that iconic bunch with wines from Destiny Bay, Prophet’s Rock, Man o War, Bilancia and Escarpment.

The Australian section also has some absolute icons with many vintages of Penfolds Grange including a vertical of magnums from 1999 – 2013 (includes a 750ml 2011 as there were no magnums released commercially in that vintage), Henschke Hill of Grace and Torbreck Run Rig.

Champagne lovers can select from Krug, Cristal, Salon, Dom Perignon and more. Supposedly Dom Perignon cried “Come quickly, I am tasting the stars!" when tasting the first sparkling champagne.

The rest of France includes some of the true greats with Chateau d’Yquem, Clos des Papes, Dujac and Jaboulet La Chapelle. Bordeaux, not to be out-done, has many First and other Classed Growths from the Left Bank while the Right Bank features superstars such as Chateaux Angelus, Cheval Blanc and Petrus.

Wander through our selection of Vintage Ports, Cognacs and Whiskies. A 1930’s bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII could be the star of the auction. Cocktail enthusiasts will be in raptures for our 60’s, 70’s and 80’s bottlings of spirits. Originally sourced in America these spirits will ensure an authentic, classic libation.

Finally be sure to check out the beautiful selections of antique corkscrews and wine knives at the end of the sale.
