Wildfoods is turning 30!

Yes! the 9th March 2019 is the iconic Hokitika Wildfoods Festival’s 30th Anniversary and we have an extra special program lined up for our 30th birthday.

Heighten your senses and captivate your taste buds with daring delicacies from the coast and further afield.

The #HokitikaWildfoodsFestival hosts over 50 stalls offering every element of Wildfoods from gourmet to the not so adventurous and everything in between. We have something to tempt every palate including the West Coast’s quintessential delicacies of Whitebait and Venison to the ‘almost’ inedible icons of the Wildfoods Festival, Mountain Oysters. (lamb testicles!), Huhu grubs and Horse “protein”!

Sink your teeth into the all-day festival.
Be entertained with live music, Boris the wild pig, stage performances, buskers, huge kiddie corner and of course the intrinsic “Feral Fashion’ contest.
There’s plenty of entertainment and live music to keep you busy from morning until late.

Make sure to dress in your wildest attire for the Wildfoods Festival’s famous Feral Fashion competition.

As the sun sets, be captivated by the NZ Army Band marching the crowd down to the beach for a breath-taking fireworks display.
