Charitable Trust, Te Wairua O Te Moananui – Ocean Spirit, presents an illustrated talk by Glenn Edney as part of NZ Seaweek - New Zealand’s annual national week about the sea, hosted by the NZ Association for Environmental Education (NZAEE).

In Celebration of Sharks. Sharks are often portrayed as terrifying man-eaters.

Hysterical media hype grabs our attention and has created a deeply embedded fear of them.
This is not their reality.

We invite you to come and celebrate shark culture:
- hear about their intelligence
- their natural ecological role in the living Ocean
- their fascinating range of sensing abilities
- new research into shark culture
- our relationship with them

This presentation will include an illustrated talk with slides and video and end with an open discussion on the current shark – human relationship.
