What better way to celebrate World Entrepreneur’s Day than to explore the talent in our own back yard?
For the second year running, we’re partnering with Callaghan Innovation to bring you ‘Inspiring Innovation’, shedding light on Kiwi businesses who have pushed boundaries and challenged the status quo to create new and smarter ways of doing things. Discover the services and resources they used to skyrocket their success and how you too can get access.
Callaghan Innovation is dedicated to activating innovation and accelerating growth for hi-tech New Zealand businesses. They partner with ambitious businesses of all sizes and have a plethora of experts throughout their national and international networks. We’re bringing you a whole panel of their entrepreneurial customers to pass on their knowledge and inspire your next steps. Not only will you find out what it takes to get your ideas off the ground, you’ll hear it from businesses who have been there and done it already.
The event will be held at the Gracefield Innovation Quarter in Lower Hutt, one of Callaghan Innovation’s R&D facilities. CEO of Callaghan Innovation, Vic Crone, will fill you in on some of the neat initiatives they lead as New Zealand’s innovation agency, which are relevant to both current and aspiring entrepreneurs. You’ll also hear from the Manager of Gracefield Innovation Quarter (GIQ) development programme, Johnny Priestly, who will outline the plans for the future of Gracefield and its specialist facilities.
The evening will kick off with networking over food and refreshments and will wrap up with a Q&A session following the presentations.
Callaghan Innovation’s Whakatauākī (guiding proverb) is ‘Rukuhia te wāhi ngaro, hei maunga tātai whetū’, which translates to “Explore the unknown, pursue excellence.” Join us this entrepreneur day to do exactly that.

For our Wellington-based members, there will be a bus available to and from the venue. You will need to pre-book your space on this as seats are limited to 50. Please let us know upon confirmation.
