Introduction to Harakeke - NZ Flax Weaving

Harakeke - NZ Flax is New Zealand's most enduring plant. During this workshop you will create your own flax flowers Putiputi, Plaits and Konae - a two cornered basket or 'magic basket' in the workshop.

You will also learn about Tikanga, the native customs and skills that surround flax weaving/Raranga.

Personal design and adornment are encouraged to add your own creative touch.
