Proudly presented by the Embassy of Japan in New Zealand and the Japan Foundation, the Japanese Film Festival is back in Wellington! All films will be screened at Roxy Cinema, Miramar.

All movies are preceded by a short documentary about Japanese culture, starting 10 minutes prior to the film’s screening. Seating is not allocated, so come early to secure your favourite spot!

The Japanese Film Festival 2019 offers entertainment with a mixture of drama, action and comedy that will inspire and engage those seeking to broaden their cultural horizons. All movies are free admission, so spread the word and bring along your friends and family!

A woman is found strangled to death in an apartment whose tenant is missing. Detective Matsumiya has a hunch that a charred corpse found nearby the murder scene may have some relevance to the case, and subsequently discovers an item with the names of Nihonbashi’s 12 bridges written on it. When Kyoichiro Kaga learns of this, he is deeply shaken.
