New Zealand’s own Taika Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Thor: Ragnarok) brings his signature style of humour and pathos back on the world stage in his next big film, Jojo Rabbit— a powerful satire set against the backdrop of World War II.

Jojo, a lonely German boy, lives a sheltered life, but his world is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is harbouring a young Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism and face his biggest fears.

Roman Griffin Davis stars as Jojo alongside Waititi and a stellar ensemble cast including Golden Globe®-nominee Scarlett Johansson (Avengers), Academy Award®-winner Sam Rockwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Kiwi rising star Thomasin McKenzie (Leave No Trace, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies), Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect), Stephen Merchant (Logan) and Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones).

Winner of the Toronto International Film Festival 2019 People’s Choice Award – don’t miss Jojo Rabbit – in cinemas October 24.
