Kaikauhoe (swimmer) Pounamu Taonga o Tauranga Moana by photographer Adrienne Martyn, is a photographic exhibition presented by Tauranga Heritage Collection, celebrating 50 years of collecting. The exhibition is facilitated by Taonga Tauranga and sponsored by Tauranga Peugeot. It relates to the origin story of pounamu (greenstone) and its journey from the Bay of Plenty to its current resting place in the South Island. It acknowledges the ancient legends of Poutini, Mata and Hinehoanga.
