Kaitoke Regional Park, Waterworks Road entrance

Bookings essential. Max 30 people. High fitness required.

Kaitoke Regional Park is a nationally recognised park and a jewel in the crown of our incredible Wellington parks. Follow the local Park Ranger on a guided walk, introducing you to some of the lesser known tracks. The first part involves walking up the access road for over an hour so you need to be fit! The reward – views out to the Hutt Valley and overlooking Kaitoke. Once we catch our breath, we’ll drop into native bush to follow Norbetts trail back down to the bottom. Lunch is in one of the picnic areas before we visit Rivendell, the film site from Lord of the Rings. The return trip will be via the Pakuratahi River walk.
