Korn vs Deftones Night

Back in the days of spiked hair, wallet chains, baggy pants and oversized tees, two bands dominated kids’ CD Discmans across the globe: Korn & Deftones.

While one band enjoyed the “nu-metal” label more than the other, the two ultimately ended up grouped under the contentious genre, and to this day, members of Deftones have still expressed a dislike for the name, and allegedly even turning down tours with Korn, as to avoid being called “nu-metal” again.

Although nu-metal has vanished over the years, whatever may you think of the genre, both Korn and Deftones have remained hugely influential in heavy metal and alternative rock around the world.

This Friday night, we’re dedicated to celebrating the two bands and their music by pumping three and a half hours of Korn and Deftones choicest cuts from both old and new releases, as selected by Paul T Gheist.

So dust off that No Fear hoodie and spike up those frosted tips!
Come grab a drink, reminisce, have a yarn and relive the 90’s and 2000’s!
