By 2018 NZ had become one of the most internet-addicted nations in the world and consumer research showed that we own an average of 6.5 digital devices each, with 67% of them being connected to the internet. What does this mean when it comes to reading?
Read NZ Te Pou Muramura (formerly the Book Council) will join forces with Internet NZ to launch its 2019 reading research at this year’s NetHui.
'Reading in the Digital Age' will be launched with a diverse panel discussion about what it means to be a reader in 2019.
Michèle A'Court will chair a panel of readers: Patrick Crewdson (Editor in Chief, Stuff), Lucy Morris (game developer and Director of Starcolt), Dahlia Malaeulu (writer and educator) and Andrew Cushen (Engagement Director, InternetNZ).
We hope you can join us! Entry is free, and everyone is welcome (you don't need to be attending NetHui to come to our event).
