Lincoln University Street Athletics Festival

We're flipping the script on traditional athletics meets and allowing the crowd to get right up close to the action. Witness the skill, power and athleticism of the some of the world’s best athletes from just metres away.

With a line-up including Olympic and Commonwealth medallists Tom Walsh and Eliza McCartney, along with a host of top New Zealand and International athletes, this is a free athletics event not to be missed! There will also be food trucks, beer tents, giveaways, a DJ onsite and family-friendly activities.

Enjoy an evening of athletics in the heart of the city. The Lincoln University Street Athletics Festival is part of Christchurch’s week of athletics, which also includes the Jennian Homes New Zealand Track & Field Championships on March 08-10 at Ngā Puna Wai Sports Hub.

Gates open at 4.30pm for a 5.30pm start.
