A quiet sanctuary to read? A place of infinite knowledge? A lifelong friend? Libraries take on a different meaning for everyone. It's Library lovers Week and to celebrate we have organised a whole week of activities for people in love with each other and the library! Join us as we celebrate love in all its forms.

All Week:
Blind Date with a Book
Borrow a wrapped book from the display. Enjoy the surprise and try a new author or genre. Will your blind date be hot or not? Rate your date at the end and return it to let us know!

Sweets for my Sweet Workshop
Tuesday 12 February, 4pm-5pm
Let's talk about relationships while making sweet gifts for your sweet. At Youth Space, For 13-19 year olds.

Valentines Card Making
Wednesday 13 February, 3.30pm-5.30pm
Make your special someone or secret crush a hand-made Valentine's card. Free workshop, all materials provided.

Haiku Love Poems
Thursday 14 February, 5.30pm-7.30pm
Write a love haiku and thrill someone you love. Learn four principles of traditional Japanese haiku and use them to express your feelings. A fun workshop which can help you in all your writing. Workshop is with Wellington writer Rachel McAlpine.

Have you lost the joy of writing? Dip into the variegated world of personal blogs, which writers use as workshops, databases, publishing outlets, morning pages, diaries, and cafes. Learn how blogging brings happiness and companionship to people who are old, isolated, disabled, lonely, or frail. Everyone welcome to this morning with Wellington writer Rachel McAlpine.
