Speaker Session:
Making Sense of the Numbers
Keeping tabs on your financial results and financial position gives business owners the ability to make better business decisions. If only they were not so confusing!

There are only 7 key numbers that really matter when it comes to understanding financial reports and how well your business operations are really going. By understanding these 7 key numbers you can develop strategies and tactics to improve your financial performance and outcomes.

At our second session of the year, Anne will walk you through a process to clear the clutter away from your financial reports, demonstrate the relationship between a profit and loss report and the balance sheet (and why both reports are important) and provide you with a framework to make sense of your business results. You will also receive a copy of Anne’s free booklet “Financial Reports Made Simple: The 7 Key Numbers to Managing Your Business”

Presenter Bio – Anne Stephenson
After spending many, many years at one of the Big 4 accounting firms, Anne founded her own business, Connected Accountants, where she discovered first-hand how hard it is to develop and grow a successful business.

Working with owner-managed businesses, Anne has seen the difference that simplifying the numbers, giving them some context and then being able to report against targets in a way that trends are easily identified, can make to the financial prosperity of her clients.

Improving financial literacy and understanding is the first step towards making confident financial decisions and putting the business owner in full control. Anne is passionate about helping business owners achieve their dreams and that is the focus of the way Connected Accountants works with their clients. She’s also a mother of 2 adult children and is enjoying her first grandson.
