This six-hour workshop is available on four dates in 2019:
Sunday 7 April 10 AM - 4 PM or
Saturday 25 May 10 AM - 4 PM or
Sunday 18 August 10 AM - 4 PM or
Saturday 21 September 10 AM - 4 PM

Learn how to make soap using a variety of techniques and materials.

Techniques covered include cold process and 'melt and pour' bases. The workshop will cover a range of topics including how to colour and fragrance soaps, materials used in soap-making, and how to create your own recipes and make your own soap from scratch.

This course is hands-on and each participant will leave with a variety of soaps they have created themselves.

The course will cover:
- History and culture of soap
- The chemistry of soap
- Methods and techniques
- Safety
- Recipes and quantity calculation
- Fragrances, colourants and other additives
- Troubleshooting
- Supplies and packaging
- How to sell your soap (business)

Materials are included in the course fee for this workshop.
