Creeping sensuously into Palmerston North comes Manawatu Summer Shakespeare’s Antony & Cleopatra.

A tale of politics, betrayal and exotic love in which everyone has an agenda and the limits of the human heart will be tested beyond reckoning, nations clash and bonds are broken over one famous relationship: Marcus Antonius (known as Mark Antony), Triumvir of Rome, and Cleopatra, the seductive and mercurial Egyptian Queen.

Directed by award-winning Shakespeare veteran Ralph Johnson and featuring an all-star cast of local acting talent, Antony & Cleopatra promises to be an enthralling foray into one of the greatest love stories ever told.
