Vincent’s book The Great War for New Zealand, Waikato 1800-2000, was named the New Zealand Herald Book of the Year 2016. His latest book, The New Zealand Wars, is to be released just before the festival. Vincent is a professional historian engaged in the Treaty of Waitangi claims process since 1993, and is among voices calling for more New Zealand history in schools.
