Maths Craft New Zealand is coming to Martinborough! Discover the maths behind craft and the craft behind maths at Martinborough’s first Maths Craft Day, Sunday May 26 in The Town Hall at The Waihinga Centre.

Maths Craft is excited to announce its first ever regional festival which is being hosted in the beautiful Waihinga Centre in Martinborough. Featuring a range of craft creation stations and public talks by mathematicians, the day-long celebration of maths promises to engage people of all ages.

Knit a mathematical knot, make a Möbius strip, fold an origami octahedron, and flex a hexahexaflexagon. There will also be three free public talks, two by New Zealand mathematicians, and one by our special guest, the internationally renowned author, mathematician, and pianist Eugenia Cheng.

The festival is free and no bookings are required. Open to everyone: experts and amateurs, maths-fans and maths-phobes, the crafty and the curious.
